Broccoli Chicken Casserole

Broccoli and chicken pieces topped with sauce prepared from cream cheese, salt, milk, garlic, salt and Parmesan cheese. Casserole is garnished with Parmesan cheese and baked until cheese has melted and top is golden brown.

Ingredients -

1 (4 pounds) Whole Chicken
2 (8 ounces) package Cream Cheese
2 package Broccoli, cut into small florets
3/4 teaspoon Salt
2 cups Milk
3/4 teaspoon Garlic Salt
1-1/4 cup Parmesan

 
Preparation:

1. In a large skillet, simmer the chicken 1-1/2 to 2 hours.

2. Remove and let sit until cooled.

3. Slice and set aside.

4. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

5. Spray the casserole dish with non-stick cooking spray.

6. Steam the broccoli and place in casserole dish.

7. In a double boiler: add together the cream cheese, milk, salt and garlic salt.

8. Stir until smooth and creamy.

9. Add 1 cup of parmesan cheese.

10. Pour one-half of the cream cheese mixture over the broccoli.

11. Layer the dish with the chicken slices.

12. Pour the rest of the cream cheese mixture over the chicken and top with the remaining Parmesan cheese.

13. Bake for 25-30 minutes.

14. Remove and let stand 10 minutes before serving.
