Hash Brown Casserole

Delicious potato casserole starts with combining butter, hash brown potatoes, cream of chicken soup, chopped onion, shredded cheddar cheese and sour cream. Mixture is spread evenly into prepared baking dish and topped with cornflakes and melted butter. Casserole is baked in hot oven until golden brown. Individual servings garnished with parsley and lemon.

Ingredients -

1 (32 ounces) package Frozen Hash Brown Potatoes, thawed
3/4 cup Butter, melted
1/2 cup Chopped Onion
1 (10-3/4 ounces) can Cream of Chicken Soup, undiluted
1 (8 ounces) carton Sour Cream
1 (4 ounces) cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese
2 cups Corn Flakes

 
Preparation:

1. Turn the oven to 425 degrees and preheat.

2. In a large bowl, add 1/2 cup butter, hash browns, soup, onion, cheese and sour cream and mix well.

3. Grease a 2-1/2 quart casserole baking dish with butter.

4. Transfer the hash brown mixture into the prepared dish.

5. In a small bowl, crush up the corn flakes and mix with the butter.

6. Sprinkle the corn flake mixture over the top of the hash brown mixture.

7. Bake for 50 minutes.

8. Serve garnished with parsley and a lemon twist.
