Baked Four Cheese Pasta

 

Ingredients -

1 pound Rotini Pasta or Penne
3/4 pound Hot Italian Sausage
2 Sweet Red Peppers
1 Large Onion
1 tablespoon Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1 (26 ounces) jar Marinara Sauce
2 cups Shredded Italian Four Cheese Blend

 
Preparation:

1. Turn the oven to 450 degrees and preheat.

2. Prepare the pasta to al dente, drain and set aside.

3. Cut the hot Italian sausages into 1/2 inch diagonal slices.

4. Slice the peppers and onions for a total of 4 cups.

5. Add olive oil to a skillet along with the sliced sausage, onions and peppers and cook for 10 minutes or until the sausage is done and the vegetables are tender.

6. Add the marinara sauce and bring the skillet to a simmer.

7. Add the pasta and 1 cup of four cheese blend.

8. Sprinkle the remaining 1 cup of cheese over the top and bake in the preheated oven until the cheese melts, which takes about 8 to 10 minutes.

9. Allow the casserole to cool for 5 minutes then serve and enjoy.
