Noodle Casserole with Beef, Onion and Mushrooms

 

Ingredients -

8 ounces Egg Noodles, uncooked
1 pound Lean Ground Beef
1/2 cup Chopped Red or Green Bell Pepper
1/2 cup Chopped Onion
2 (10-3/4 ounces each) cans Cream of Mushroom Soup
1 (10 ounces) package Frozen Peas and Carrots
1-1/2 cups Milk
8 ounces Sour Cream
1 cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese
1 (8 ounces) can Sliced Water Chestnuts, drained

 
Preparation:

1. Prepare the noodles as per package directions.

2. Add the ground beef to a Dutch oven and brown, draining the fat.

3. Add the onion and red pepper and sauté until the vegetables are tender.

4. Add the cooked noodles, soup, frozen vegetables, milk, sour cream and water chestnuts.

5. Cook until heated through, then top with the shredded cheddar cheese.

6. Serve immediately and enjoy.
