1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. Cook the pasta according to the package directions.
3. Drain the noodles and set aside.
4. Meanwhile, cook the sausage in a hot skillet over medium heat until they are golden brown on all sides.
5. Add the tomatoes, thyme and rosemary and simmer 5 minutes.
6. Remove the mixture from the heat.
7. Combine the ricotta cheese, mozzarella cheese and garlic powder in a medium bowl and mix well.
8. Spoon 1/2 cup of the tomato sauce in the bottom of a 4-quart casserole dish.
9. Top the tomato sauce with half of the cooked ziti.
10. Top the ziti with half of the cheese mixture.
11. Top with 1 cup of the tomato sauce.
12. Repeat the layers.
13. Top with the remaining tomato sauce.
14. Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella and parmesan cheese over the top.
15. Cover with some foil and bake for 30 minutes.
16. Uncover and bake for 15 more minutes, until the cheese is golden and bubbly.
